Welcome to the website of the Crystal Physics and Electroceramics Laboratory at MIT. Our research is devoted to improving the understanding of the properties of ionic solids, particulary for energy conversion and environmental monitoring technologies. We specialize in the growth and characterization of ceramic thin films, as well as the relation of a material's defect structure to its macroscopic properties.
