MESC Lectures at the Aix-Marseille Université, France

In December, 2013, Tuller gave a short course entitled "Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion: Fundamentals and Applications of Solid State Ionics and Electronics" at the Aix-Marseille Université in Marseille, France as part of the “MESC” – Master in Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion.  Offered at participating universities in 3 European countries, China, and the USA, the MESC is designed to provide a 2-year program in materials science and electrochemistry. Acceptance into the program is highly competitive, with students hailing from universities in countries all around the world. For more information on the Erasmus program, see

While at the Aix-Marseille Université, Tuller visited with Prof. Philippe Knauth and his colleagues at the CNRS-Madirel laboratory, continuing a collaboration on nanostructured oxides begun earlier in the year, during Prof. Knauth's sabbatical leave at MIT.
